C♯/D button accordion

McNeela C♯/D · 23-button treble · 8-button modern bass layout

Left half of each button = push, right half = pull. Chords: + = major. Layout drawn from McNeela’s “23 button C#/D modern bass layout” chart (the D row is the inside row, nearer the bellows; the C♯ row is the outside row). Tones are synthesized and the octaves are approximate: each row is assumed to rise left to right from about C♯3/D3. Note names are exact. Scales: F♯ and C♯ sit on both rows in opposite bellows directions, so those steps can stay in the row (reversing the bellows) or switch rows (keeping the bellows going). The Keyboard tab shows both routes and lets you pick per note; dashed buttons are the alternatives. Chords are the usual trad Irish backing choices; on this bass side a minor is backed by its bass note under the relative major chord when the bellows directions match, otherwise by the bass note alone. Flashcards are scheduled Again / Hard / Good / Easy, spaced like Anki. Progress is saved in this browser; a card counts as mastered once its interval reaches 21 days.
